Ten important things the US Politics space did not have. Three of them are now added.
Congress committees (the space had no House committees at all)
1. House Ways and Means Committee: writes all US tax laws (added)
2. House Judiciary Committee: handles impeachment, federal courts and immigration
3. House Appropriations Committee: decides how the government spends money
4. House Oversight Committee: the House's main investigation committee
5. Senate Finance Committee: writes tax and health care laws in the Senate
Political parties (only Republicans and Democrats were there)
6. Libertarian Party: the biggest party after the two main ones (added)
7. Green Party: the other national third party
Elections and money
8. 2024 election cycle: the last completed election. Only 2026 was there
9. Super PAC: groups that raise and spend unlimited money on elections. The space has 11 of them, but nothing to group them under
Founding documents (only the Constitution was there)
10. Articles of Confederation: America’s first constitution (added)
Why it matters: the space has over 1,000 claims about Congress, parties and elections. These ten are what those claims are about. Without them, the claims have nothing to connect to.
House Ways and Means Committee: the House now has its first committee, so claims about tax laws have somewhere to connect.
Libertarian Party: the space now covers more than two parties.
Articles of Confederation: the space now covers how the US was first governed, not just the Constitution.
Every name was checked on live Geo data inside this space, by both long and short name. Three early candidates were dropped because they already existed.
