Oct 15Seems people are confused by point number 4
So the logic is: RHchain is customer acquisition tool. Current Robinhood users are already making money for Robinhood.
If they let them to take their money FROM Robinhood proper to Robinhood Chain, what would be the benefit for the users? They can already trade crypto and stocks within Robinhood.
Only thing they would come to RHchain for would be new memecoins, and they would lose money fast on them (remember memecoins are a EV- casino, unlike stocks). So these existing users RH already owns and spent money acquiring would lose money and become less valuable customers.
But crypto natives in Ethereum and Solana ecosystems that are bridging to RHchain are net new users for Robinhood who can either generate fees through RHchain or later be integrated with RH eco as it evolves.
RH + RH chain playbook is becoming clear
max optionality, lowest effort - simple EVM chain everyone can deploy existing SCs on without much hassle
vamp the biggest current narratives (RWA tokenisation + perps + agentic finance)
attract crypto degens into RH ecosystem (expanding userbase and TAM)
DO NOT let existing RH users on-chain (they would only leak their customer value outside of RH)
impeccable PR, comms and marketing stunts aimed at crypto natives
