Ethereum 2029 quantum security roadmap

The Ethereum Foundation's Protocol Cluster set a December 2029 quantum-security target in its September 7, 2026 priorities update. Its plan prioritizes changes across execution, consensus and data while acknowledging uncertainty about when a capable quantum computer might exist.
