Solana SGP-0003 fee vote failure

Solana's first binding on-chain governance vote closed on 28 August 2026 with SGP-0003, a restructuring of transaction fees backed by Anatoly Yakovenko, failing despite 142.8 million SOL in favor against 50.1 million opposed, because 72 million abstaining SOL counted toward the two-thirds threshold. SGP-0001 and SGP-0002 passed, while Jupiter, Forward Industries and the Solana Company opposed the fee change.
