International recovery appeal after Nepal's glacier disaster, 2026

Nepal requested grant-based international assistance after reporting at least 1,450 deaths and more than 6,000 people missing following the glacier disaster. The government also proposed a Nepal-India-China mechanism for glacial monitoring, satellite-data exchange and coordinated disaster response.
