EU–Philippines free-trade agreement

The European Union and the Philippines reached an initial free-trade agreement intended to expand industrial, agricultural and strategic economic ties. The initial agreement would eliminate more than 94% of tariffs on both sides and cover major EU industrial and agricultural exports. Ratification and complete implementation details remain pending. The agreement forms part of the EU's broader effort to deepen relations with Southeast Asia and diversify trade amid growing geopolitical and supply-chain uncertainty.
