MI5 alert on alleged Chinese academic espionage

MI5 alleged that a Chinese research organisation funded work by more than 100 UK academics to improve Chinese intelligence capabilities. It said many participants acted without knowing the organisation's alleged ties to Chinese state security. China rejects the allegations.
