An intelligence-led AI task force places too much emphasis on national security over public accountability

President Trump publicly named intelligence director Jay Clayton to lead a new federal AI task force. Clayton said it would report within 120 days on AI risks, opportunities, incident reporting and the government's response powers. The appointment has been officially confirmed.
