Inter-Korean DMZ mine-blast dispute

South Korea and the US-led UN Command concluded that a North Korean anti-personnel mine caused the 21 September DMZ explosion that injured two South Korean personnel and constituted an armistice violation. North Korea rejected the investigation as fabricated and threatened retaliation if South Korea fired across the border.
