New Yalu River Bridge opening

China announced that the long-delayed New Yalu River Bridge would open on 15 October, creating a major road connection between Dandong and Sinuiju. Reuters later confirmed that the bridge opened on 15 October, after the 12–14 October review window. The opening signalled closer economic cooperation while raising questions about North Korea's dependence on China and enforcement of existing sanctions.
