Resignation of Ukraine's prosecutor general

Ukrainian Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko submitted his resignation after an anti-corruption investigation implicated a subordinate in an alleged bribery and fraud-protection scheme. Kravchenko was neither charged nor named as a suspect and denied wrongdoing; his resignation requires parliamentary approval. The case has renewed debate over accountability, prosecutorial reform and the independence of Ukraine's anti-corruption institutions.
