Finnish firms ICEYE and Nokia announced an agreement with Ukraine's defense ministry in October 2026 to develop sovereign satellite communications expected to launch initial satellites in 2028.

Military, financial and logistical assistance provided to Ukraine by Western governments and institutions, including weapons, intelligence, satellite communications and the financing that sustains Ukraine's defence.
