Trump–Xi summit – tariff cuts and trade-truce extension

The United States and China agreed to pursue tariff reductions covering approximately $30 billion of goods in each direction ($60 billion combined) and extended their trade truce until 10 January 2027. China also committed to US coal purchases, while the governments agreed to continue discussions concerning artificial intelligence. Soybeans were excluded from the tariff reductions, and implementation details remain incomplete.
