Western military aid to Saudi Arabia should be strictly limited to defensive operations

Saudi aviation authorities reported that attacks on Riyadh airport and a Saudia aircraft killed three Saudi citizens, including a pilot, on 8 October. The Houthis claimed an airport strike. Flight cancellations and aviation warnings reflected the expanding threat to civilian air transport.

Saudi aviation authorities reported three deaths and 36 injuries in attacks on Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport and Abha airport. The Saudi-led coalition subsequently announced strikes on more than 80 alleged Houthi military sites as the conflict intensified. The attacks involved missiles as well as drones, and Saudi authorities did not specify which airport was hit on which day.
