Bangladesh's garment-worker wage protests

Bangladesh formed a garment-sector wage board after unrest closed hundreds of factories and workers demanded a 30,000-taka monthly minimum, up from 12,500. The board must now determine the wage; its creation does not grant the demand. The dispute affects labour rights and a sector central to national exports.
