Intentional Communities
A living directory of intentional communities, co-living, pop-up villages, and semester schools — and the people and ideas shaping how we live together.
A living directory of intentional communities, co-living, pop-up villages, and semester schools — and the people and ideas shaping how we live together.
Intentional Communities is a directory and idea-map of deliberately designed ways of living together: ecovillages, co-living houses, pop-up villages, and immersive semester schools. It grows from Miela Mayer's own research and her fascination with how social containers shape exploration and belonging.
It includes dozens of communities (from Edge Esmeralda and the Network School to long-running houses and campuses), the semester schools (Deep Springs, Outer Coast, the Island School, Chewonki, HMI), and the knowledge leaders mapping the space — Sam Wolf, and Phil Levin and Gillian Morris of Supernuclear / Fractal.
