Transgender troops ban appeal

Solicitor General John Sauer petitioned the Supreme Court on 28 August to let the ban take effect while litigation continues, after an appeals court found the removals arbitrary and rooted in animus. The government asks for deference on readiness and the most forgiving standard of review.
