America’s 250th anniversary should not promote a sitting president

A golden dollar bearing the president's portrait entered circulation on 2 September, struck for the semiquincentennial with 1776–2026 on the obverse and the presidential seal on the reverse. Only the second time a living president has appeared on United States currency.
