Spaces are communities of people that have a shared interest in browsing, creating or curating information on a specific topic or interest, or individuals who want to run a solo space. Anyone can create a space about anything they like - even if that topic already exists - and when you create a space, you automatically become the first member and editor of that space.

In the top right hand corner of the main navigation bar there is a plus (+) button. Interacting with this will start the space creation process which takes a few moments to complete.
For example, if you created a project space, you’ll have a tab for an overview, team members, events, posts and jobs. Once you have created a space, you are free to create or curate any content you’d like.

Space governance
When creating a new space, you have the option to choose the type of space you’d like to create which will start you with a basic template after space creation has completed. Each template will include it’s own set of custom tabs that can contain content areas that could be relevant to the space type you’ve selected.
For each space type, one of two governance options predefined by Geo will be applied to your space; personal or public. you can find out more about governance in Geo works here.
