Interim United States Attorney

A Department of Justice officer appointed by the Attorney General to temporarily fill a US Attorney vacancy, serving up to 120 days or until a Presidential nominee is confirmed, and exercising the full prosecutorial and civil litigation authority of a Senate-confirmed United States Attorney.
