New Perspectives in Consensus Protocols: Proof-of-Social-Capital and Useful Mining of SNARKs and zk-SNARKs

We will outline two alternative approaches to consensus protocols that reflect the current trends of ever growing utilization of zk-SNARKs as well as social capital and attention-based economy. First, we will outline a few design concepts related to Proof-of-Usefull-Work with mining of SNARK and zk-SNARK proofs. Next, we will describe how social capital can replace or co-occur with stake in PoS.

We will summarize the results of 3 MSc thesis that were created at our university in recent 1 year.
