SMBC partners with Ava Labs and Fireblocks

SMBC announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Ava Labs, Fireblocks, and TIS to launch a fiat-pegged stablecoin by 2026, aiming to create a regulatory-compliant blockchain infrastructure for settling tokenized financial and real-world assets in Japan.
