Lawmakers seek to end Puerto Rico’s crypto tax haven

Democratic lawmakers, led by Rep. Nydia Velázquez, introduced the Fair Taxation of Digital Assets in Puerto Rico Act to end federal tax exemptions for crypto investors on the island, challenging Puerto Rico's status as a digital asset tax haven under Act 60.
