While Trump’s sons were distancing themselves from the allegedly unauthorized crypto wallet on social media, lawyers for World Liberty Financial — one of the Trump family-linked crypto ventures, which is currently at work on its own crypto wallet — were, according to Bloomberg, drafting cease-and-desist letters to the two firms responsible for the project: non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace Magic Eden and GetTrumpMemes.com, the website behind the $TRUMP memecoin.

Shortly after the story broke, Donald Trump Jr. posted that "The Trump Organization has zero involvement" with the effort, adding that World Liberty Financial — the supposed DeFi project that lists Trump and his sons as advisors — was working to release an "official wallet soon.'

After the wallet promotions went up, Donald Trump Jr. quickly took to social media to slam it and Eric Trump wrote: “I would be extremely careful using our name in a project that has not been approved and is unknown to anyone in our organization.” The Trump-backed World Liberty Financial, has been readying its own wallet, which will let users earn yield on their tokens.
