The integration between Avalanche and Filecoin combines Avalanche’s fast execution with Filecoin’s secure and verifiable storage to support scalable Web3 applications.
The cross-chain data bridge launched by Filecoin Foundation and Ava Labs uses smart contracts to transfer data from Avalanche’s C-Chain to the Filecoin network, where it is stored, assigned a unique Content Identifier, and verified through cryptographic proofs returned to Avalanche.
The cross-chain data storage prototype developed by FIL-B and FilOz enables EVM-compatible chains like Avalanche C-Chain to offload data to Filecoin while preserving access and on-chain verifiability.
