Exclusive: Codex raises $16 million to build a blockchain just for stablecoins

Codex raised $15.8M in seed funding led by Dragonfly Capital to build a stablecoin-focused Layer 2 blockchain on Optimism. Co-founder Haonan Li, a former Optimism developer, argues general-purpose chains can't meet enterprise needs. Codex aims for stable fees, privacy and direct offramps to fiat.
