Ethereum Foundation developers decided to launch a third testnet named Hoodi to address issues encountered during the Pectra upgrade tests on previous networks
The Hoodi testnet will replicate Ethereum mainnet conditions, including a similar validator count and approximately 20 million test-staked Ether distributed across 11 client teams and five staking operators
