Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin and researcher Toni Wahrstätter have proposed EIP-7983, which introduces a 16.77 million gas cap per transaction. The proposal aims to boost network security, reduce DoS risks and enhance efficiency and predictability in transaction processing.
