Courchevel
A cluster of ski villages in the Tarentaise Valley of the French Savoy Alps, purpose-built from 1946 and the most glamorous gateway to the Three Valleys, the world's largest connected ski area with 600 km of pistes. Its highest village, at 1,850 metres, is synonymous with luxury, drawing a wealthy international clientele to designer boutiques, Michelin-starred restaurants, and its own mountain airstrip for private jets.
