Saint Etienne de Baigorry

A village in the Lower Navarre region of the French Basque Country, set in the green Baïgorri valley where the Nive des Aldudes runs through its centre. A Roman arch bridge, an 11th-century castle of the Etxauz lords, and traditional pink-sandstone Navarrese houses give it a deep historic character, and the surrounding valley produces the Irouléguy AOC wine and Kintoa ham.
