Luxembourg

Capital of Luxembourg, founded in 963 when Count Siegfried built a castle on the rocky Bock promontory above the Alzette. The fortress-town that grew around it became the seat of the Grand Duchy, and its old quarter and ramparts are a UNESCO World Heritage site.
